Music Exams & Qualifications

Each year, our students are given the opportunity to take a music exam and gain a qualification, awarded by London College of Music. We are delighted with and proud of our record of achievement in these examinations. From Step 1, through to Level 5, our primary school students have achieved a 100% pass rate. Astonishingly, over 95% of those passes are with Merit or Distinction, a record of which we are immensely proud.

There are very many benefits to taking these exams, over and above the obvious qualifications gained. The class is responsible for presenting a short repertoire and completing a written programme for the examiner to assess. The process and discipline required give our students an enduring love, enjoyment and appreciation of music, as well as the personal disciplines and motivation necessary for life-long learning.

The London College of Music was founded in 1887 and is globally acclaimed and respected, with overseas centres as well as those across the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. One of the experienced team of LCM Examiners will visit your school and assess and appraise the ability of each class. We at Rock It Music have been instrumental in developing and arranging these visits for the benefit of our students and schools.
