Making Music – Having Fun!
Community Events
We love to perform at public and school events and NEVER charge for this service. From carnivals to Christmas light switch-on events, school fetes and garden parties, we openly look for any opportunity to share our music and perform.
Steel bands, choirs, pop bands and ukulele orchestras all led by us at Rock It Music Projects Ltd, have taken part in a huge number of local events over the last few years. Up to twenty schools have contributed to our area Steel Band, performing every year at Great Wyrley Carnival, similarly, festive fun and Christmas sounds were made at the switch-on of Christmas lights in Cannock Town.
Whilst 2020 will be remembered for the Covid-19 pandemic, we still managed a number of impromptu performances on steel drums in the open air at the school gates. A little light-hearted fun for parents to enjoy as they collected their children.
Our area steel band have performed at music festivals. A highlight must surely be the Bath International Music Festival when, over a weekend, our young musicians from local schools, performed in the finest venues Bath has to offer, as well as a little busking outside the Roman Baths.
We are proud of our performance history and whilst there can never be a cast iron guarantee, our team of Rock It teachers, have never refused a performance opportunity. Just ask and we will do our utmost to join you and your students in making music for others to enjoy.
As part of our weekly class based lessons, concerts at the end of each term are offered and encouraged as an absolute minimum.
